How Do you choose a Pet Sitter and/or Dog Walker?
There are often times it is impractical to bring your pet with you on a trip. So, you must keep your pet either in a kennel or hire a pet sitter and dog walker. There are several questions that you must gasp in considering a pet sitter or dog walker:
- Are they credited.
- Ask if they’re licensed or bonded.
- Ask for references.
- Ask if they worked with different types of dogs before. For example, having worked with aggressive, medically fragile, or senior dogs
- Ask what their pet sitting service and/or dog walking service involves. For example, does it involve playing with the dog or just feeding them.
- Will a dog be fed at the set time daily.
- Is there a charge for administering medicine?
- Does the pet sitter have transportation to take the dog for veterinary care if necessary?
- What
are the services that will be provided? For example, will they get your mail or water plants. - What is there charge for additional services?
- Is the pet sitter willing to spend the night in your house
By asking these above questions you will be able to make an educated decision on caring for your furry loved one.
